Beginning with our first restaurant in Seoul in 2004, Gopchang Story has grown into a beloved franchise with over 100 restaurants in South Korea today. We’ve mastered our cuisine with over 20 years of research and experience, delighting diners with the tenderness and flavor of our BBQ. Besides our gopchang, daechang, and makchang BBQ, we are also known for our high-quality cuts of pork and beef.
In addition to Korean BBQ, we also offer delicious Korean favorites, such as spicy stir-fried chicken, soybean paste stew, and naengmyeon. We opened our first restaurant with the goal of being a place for people to relax and enjoy a good meal and drink with friends after a busy day at work. We’ve kept that initial commitment, and also strive to provide delicious food and a fun, family-friendly environment with attentive service.

Korea’s traditional delicacy- Gopchang (Korean Grilled Intestines)
What is Gopchang?
Gopchang “Gop” the soft inner “Chang” intestine), dates back to the Joseon Dynasty 14th to 19th centuries. Rich in iron and vitamins, it was known for its valuable nutritional properties. Nowadays, it’s a cult food in South Korea and now gaining popularity in the United States. It’s a popular “anju” (food served and eaten with soju), as it helps break down alcohol. Grilled tableside, Gopchang is enjoyed with side dishes and tiny bowls of delicious dipping sauce!
